  • There would seem to be more than one theme or category that would fit. How do I choose?

    The first thing is to not worry about this.

    If you chose the ‘wrong’ theme we will simply reassign your entry to a more appropriate theme. This would mean that if shortlisted you would be presenting on a different conference day.

    These factors could help you decide

    * Which of these target communities is most clearly impacted by your initiative?
    > Corporate Responsibility entries impact the broader community and environment;
    > Customer Engagement entries impact people whom you target for your products and services;
    > People & Performance entries impact your staff.

    * What is the innovative aspect of your entry?
    In a situation where your impacts more than one of the target communities just listed, look at the aspect that is most innovative and ask yourself which theme this most relates to.

    If you still find that you could submit your entry for more than one theme or category, we invite you to do so.

    Or contact us to discuss it further.

  • Can I submit the same programme for more than one theme or category?

    Yes you can.
    You could submit the same programme more than once, but each time from a different perspective and under a different theme.
    You could even submit the same programme under separate categories within the same theme, but again with a different focus each time.

    For instance, consider for illustration purposes an entry concerned with using social media to communicate about projects your staff are undertaking to develop skills in the local community. This could be submitted more than once…

    > Community within Corporate Responsibility
    You might focus on the impact the project is having on the community and on what’s innovative about using social media for this target group.

    > Coaching & Development within People & Performance
    You could focus on the impact working with this target community is having on your staff.

    > Technology for People & Performance within People & Performance
    Here you may wish to talk about the impact working with this technology is having on your staff.

    Each submission is treated as separate and distinct in its own right. Being shortlisted in one category has no effect on whether the same programme would also be shortlisted in other categories.

    Each presentation would require a different conference speaker.
    Entries under the same theme, and therefore being presented on the same conference day, from the same company might typically be scheduled for presentation at the same time on the conference programme, but in different rooms.

  • Can I submit different programmes for the same theme or category?

    You can. We may schedule more than one entry from the same company in the same category. You can also be associated with (for instance as vendor or consultant) more than one entry in the same category.

  • My programme was shortlisted for a previous year's Peer Award. May I resubmit this year?

    Yes you can. If you wish to resubmit the same programme, you may do so under a different category and therefore with a focus that differentiates it from the previous year. Excluded from this are entries that actually won a Peer Award in a previous year, which may not be resubmitted.

Changes may be made to the above in the lead-up to the conference.
